My Approach
BSc, MA, CCC, LCT-C
Therapy isn't one-size-fits-all.

I work from a humanistic, person-centred, and strengths-based perspective. Ultimately, you are the expert on your own life. My role isn't to tell you who you should be or what you should do, but to help you better understand yourself, explore what is getting in the way, and find a way forward that feels right for you.
I draw from a number of therapeutic approaches, including, but not limited to:
-
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
-
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
-
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
-
Narrative Therapy
We don't have to decide on a particular approach before we begin. What we use (and how we use it) is something we'll figure out together based on what you're looking for and what feels useful.
Therapeutic Focus
I work with adults and youth (12+) navigating things like...
-
Anxiety, worry and overwhelm
-
Depression and low mood
-
Anger and emotional regulation
-
ADHD and executive functioning
-
Addictions and substance misuse
-
Relationship difficulties and major life changes
-
Postpartum adjustment and the transition to parenthood
-
Self-worth, identity and belonging
-
Gender identity, sexual orientation, 2SLGBTQIA+ community, and minority stress
-
Suicidal thoughts and feeling like things have become too much
You don't need to see yourself neatly in one of these categories to reach out. Therapy can also be a space to work through something that is difficult to name or understand.
